Assalamu Alaykum,

Today’s gem is from Mufti Abdul Rehman Waheed’s course: A Clear Victory: Tafsir of Surah Al-Fath. We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

We reflect on the promise of Allah ﷻ and the true meaning of conquest (Fath). It begins not with external victory, but with internal submission—when we fully surrender to Allah’s ﷻ commands and live by the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

You ask when the Fath will come? It begins when we submit to Allah’s ﷻ rule—at the level of the individual, the family, and the Ummah. That is the first conquest.

Allah ﷻ says in the Qur’an:
"وَلَمَنْ صَبَرَ وَغَفَرَ إِنَّ ذَٰلِكَ لَمِنْ عَزْمِ الْأُمُورِ... وَإِن تَصْبِرُوا وَتَتَّقُوا لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ كَيْدُهُمْ شَيْئًا"

(And whoever is patient and forgives—indeed, that is of the matters requiring determination... If you are patient and fear Allah, their plot will not harm you at all.)

Today, some among us endure unimaginable trials—burying their children and loved ones. Yet, this patience, grounded in faith and taqwa, is the hallmark of true strength. The promise of Allah ﷻ is for them—and for all of us.

When we do what the Prophet ﷺ did, say what he said, and abstain from what he forbade, that’s when the transformation begins. And then, Allah ﷻ will:

• Forgive our sins

• Complete His favor upon us

• Guide us constantly

• Grant us His help

• And ultimately, place Sakīnah—tranquility—in our hearts

May Allah ﷻ grant us the strength to be patient, the clarity to follow Your path, and the tranquility that comes with complete submission to You. Ameen.

أقول قولي هذا وأستغفر الله لي ولكم، فاستغفروه إنه هو الغفور الرحيم
