We begin in the Name of Allah ﷻ, the Most Merciful and Compassionate,
We ask that He ﷻ sends Peace and Blessings upon our noble and beloved
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ

Tarbiyah is about helping your child fulfill a potential that is present. It’s about bringing out the good potential in your child. These qualities are already present; they're already built in.

What you’re trying to do is you’re trying to bring them out; you’re trying to cultivate them. So you’re trying to help your child fulfill their potential.

And what is the most important potential for us — for us to have fulfilled lives, for us to have happy, prosperous, successful lives — when can we say that we had fulfilled lives? When we have served the purpose of our existence — the purpose of our being. That is success. That is fulfillment.

And when we serve the purpose of our existence and our being, we will have that happy life as well, because Allah ﷻ promised that “Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while a believer, we will give them a goodly life.” We will give them a good life — wholesome, good, happy, prosperous life.

And that is regardless of the material hardships that you may encounter, because if you truly are connected to Allah ﷻ you are connected to the Source of all joy and happiness and contentment.

May Allah ﷻ guide us to raise children who realize their potential, serve their purpose, and find happiness and contentment in His remembrance.
